Jack Sock and Christian Harrison Face Off in 2022 Savannah Challenger Final

The Landings Club to Host USTA Pro Circuit Event through May 1

SAVANNAH, Georgia, April 30, 2022 – Jack Sock and Christian Harrison are set to face off in the championship match of the 2022 Savannah Challenger.

In the first match of the day, 2016 champion Bjorn Fratangelo kicked off action against 2014 finalist Jack Sock. Sock grabbed the opening set 6-2 with ease, but in the second set Fratangelo was able to stay alive, leveling the match at 4-4. It would ultimately be Sock who would advance, besting Fratangelo 6-2, 6-4.

The second match of the day on the Landings Stadium Court was 2018 finalist Christian Harrison taking on former Ohio State star JJ Wolf. Harrison took control early in the match and won the first set 6-1. It was much of the same story in the second set with Harrison proving unstoppable and clinching the match 6-1, 6-3.

The final match of the day was the doubles championship where Ruben Gonzales and Treat Huey took on Tun-Lin Wu and Zhizhen Zhang. Gonzales and Huey were barely able to sneak by Wu and Zhang in the first set, beating the team 7-6(3). Wu and Zhang put up a good fight in the second set, but in the end, Gonzales and Huey edged them out 6-4 to secure the doubles title.

The championship match will start at 12:00 pm and tickets are available for $35.
